Poetry
The night is cold and young
rain assaults the ground
wind whispers with a native tongue
creatures take shelter all around
raindrops splash cold water stuns
Once green grass now a muddy brown
Warm blooded mammals run
This time the amphibians wear the crown
For them this place is safe and sound
Never hoping for the sun to shine
Water here and there, covers the ground
Always scoping out a meal to dine
Meal after meal was found
Under the moist tree stump, smells like pine
Settling there is bound
Home sweet home, takes the chills out the spine
I just wanted to write some poetry and try it out for once, I may not be a poet but I like to rhyme.
Laugh out loud I’m still proud
